Andrea Giraldo
SCHOOL DIRECTOR
Welcome to The Learning World Academy at Venetian!
My name is Andrea Giraldo. I am the Director of the Learning World Academy at Venetian. I was born in Miami, Florida but my roots go back to Colombia. I’ve been married for seventeen years and I am a proud mother of three girls who are five, eight and sixteen years old. They are my greatest learning experience and driving force. During my free time I enjoy doing yoga and spending time with my family.
My love for working with children began at a young age when I volunteered in different organizations. Thanks to this passion, I decided to study Psychology at La Universidad de la Sabana and began my journey in early education. I have over 17 years of experience working with children both as a teacher and administrator.
During this time, I have gained valuable knowledge in different approaches and developed an elevated image of the child. I firmly believe that every child is unique!
My mission as the Director of the Learning World Academy at Venetian is to support children’s overall development and provide them with meaningful opportunities to build a solid learning foundation. It is my goal to foster a strong partnership with families and create a strong sense of community where families feel valued and engaged in their children’s education.
Ana Weiss
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
My name is Ana Weiss and I’m the assistant director at The Learning World Academy Venetian. I was born in Medellin, Colombia where I grew up until I moved with my family to Miami 22 years ago. I’ve been happily married for 16 years and I am the mother of two wonderful sons. During my spare time, I enjoy scuba diving and spending time outdoors with my family.
I have always been passionate towards learning about children’s development and working with them. This inspired me six years ago to begin working with children as a substitute teacher. In 2020, I became part of the Learning World Academy community.
My mission as the Assistant Director is to work in collaboration with my colleagues to ensure all our families receive the support and attention they need. I strongly believe approachability, communication and collaboration are key factors to fostering a positive and safe environment for all!
